This camp is designed for advanced riders—both owners and riding school students—who are ready to be challenged beyond their current level. Riders who own their own horse or pony are strongly encouraged to participate, but ownership is not required. If you are committed to learning, open to hard work, and looking to expand your riding education, this camp is for you.
Scheduled intentionally just before the C & Pony Show, this boot camp provides focused preparation and deeper insight ahead of competition. Instruction goes beyond the standard lesson curriculum and is geared toward serious riders looking to refine skills, improve decision-making, and better understand the sport as a whole.
This is not a game- or craft-based camp.
Daily focus areas may include:
• Advanced horsemanship and horse management
• Clipping techniques and safety
• Lunging and proper lunging safety
• Braiding with a guest instructor
• Course walking with a guest instructor
• Course setting and ring strategy
• Hunter, jumper, and equitation class breakdowns
• “Judge My Ride” day with a guest judge
• Rider strengthening and conditioning
• Hands-on discussions around the costs of horse ownership and farm operations
• Safety priorities and common mistakes seen in and out of the ring

My daughter had an absolute blast at Shenanigans Farm this summer! Every day she came home talking about the horses, the games, and how much fun she had with the other kids. The staff was so kind and patient, and the environment felt safe and welcoming from day one.
